Some feedback :

This short note was to extend a sincere Thank You to Justin Holloway and the Sacred Lives Foundation for the beautiful "In His Hands" book that was recently received at this NICU.  After the staff read and smiled and even wiped away a few tears, the book is proudly on display in the hospital Reinberger Family Center which is a respite area used by NICU and PICU parents. Thank you again for the wonderful book and kind words. We really appreciated it.

Dear Mr. Holloway
We received your beautiful book, "In His Hands".Thank you so much for your generosity and for thinking of us. Our staff (about 80 RN's) have been looking through it and are amazed at the stories and photography. It is a wonderful reminder of why we do what we do.

May God Bless You always!

I had the privilege of working for almost 20 years in the NICU. I worked as a RN/Transport Nurse at Driscoll Childrens Hospital in Corpus Christi, TX.  I am now retired from the bedside due to health concerns.  I wrote this little poem as part of the healing process for my bruised soul.  I encountered so many heartbreaking situations through the years.  Writing helps with my own personal heartbreak at the loss of my preterm son. I lost my Son almost 32 years ago, but sorrow is always there. That sorrow is eased by the knowledge that we will be together in heaven.  I praise God for all of the miracles that I had the honor of witnessing in my years as a nurse. I saw so many things happen that could only be explained by a deep belief in God.  I thank Him for all of the skilled, caring people that I worked along side in the NICU.  My patients are etched in my memory.  I can still picture the many faces and tiny fists wrapped around my finger.  I was told about this site by a friend that also worked in the unit with me for many years.  This is a wonderful site that you have created.  I will pass it on to others.          His Servant, Hallie Emmons

.Mr. Holloway,
I have just finished reading thru the book that you brought Emily.  It is good that we have God to look after us.  Just wanted to let you know that just reading it made me cry.  Good luck in the future.
Twylia

Hi Justin,

I am a nurse practitioner in the NICU at Driscoll Children's Hosptial in Corpus Christi, Texas. I just read your book and wanted to say thank you for writing it and for sharing with us and our families. I know that many families will be helped by it. It also is good to hear how others feel about what we do on a daily basis. I am thankful to God in how he has used you to encourage us and help our parents. Thanks for being open to Him.
